Polkura winery locates in the famous Colchagua Valley in Chile with good soil and climatic conditions to breed excellent Syrah. With aromas of ripe berries, prunes and dark cherries. The palate is full-bodied with abundant, fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity. For Year 2011, it awarded the 82th of Top 100 Wines of the Year List 2015 of Wine Spectator.

Deep aromas of fresh apricot, crushed stone and clove. Dense deeply pitched and soil-driven, with a distinctly saline aspect to the flavors of menthol and flowers. Impressively concentrated for the vintage but quite closed today. The saline quality carries through onto the serious, slowly mounting finish.

Selected from our oldest vineyards of Monastrell grapes growing on calcareous soil under the sunny climate of the Region of Murcia (South East of Spain), located between 600 and 800 meters above sea level. Yields do not surpass 1.5 kg. per stock. It’s matured in new 50% American and 50% French oak barrels for 12 months. 85% Monastrell – 15% Syrah, Cherry colour at sight; Ripe fruits and new oak wood very well integrated with fragrances of vanilla, definitely elegant in the nose. Extremely expressive and very well-balanced, full-bodied wine.
